Treating Subclinical Hypothyroidism with Acupuncture

Subclinical hypothyroidism pregnancy

Infertility continues to be an area that public seeks out "experts" including acupuncturists and TCM practitioners who have experience and post graduate training in treating infertility. Couples are delaying pregnancy and heading to infertility clinics in record numbers but these patients are often demoralized by invasive medical procedures and are in desperate need of the holistic, caring treatment offered by TCM and acupuncture. Practitioners who specialize in infertility and work with the medical system can enjoy full practices with long wait lists and most importantly transforming couples lives through better health and take home babies.

In my own practice at I have encountered many women suffering from miscarriages and unexplained infertility resulting from undiagnosed subclinical hypothyroidism (lab test are within normal rage or just on the low end of normal but they have many of the symptoms of hypothyroidism). This condition is often under treated in conventional medicine leading miscarriages and repeated failed IVF cycles but it is an area TCM can really make a difference especially since it is not 'unexplained' using our TCM differential diagnosis. I love to learn so I can confidently and effectively serve my patients so I looked for a practitioner who has knowledge and experience successfully treating this common condition using an integrative approach. I am sharing this skilled practitioner with you through Pro D Seminars and Medigogy so you too can better serve your patients and help transform their lives and bring healthy babies into this world.

We invite you to watch a free, one-hour online lecture on focusing on infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss relating to subclinical hypothyroidism. You will literally change couples lives if you are better able to assess and treat this common condition. This webinar will be led by the passionate Leslie Oldershaw L.Ac, who works out of her own bustling Bay Area clinic to help patients integrate acupuncture, nutrition, herbal remedies and stress reduction along with Western fertility treatments to achieve optimal fertility.

Leslie's free one hour lecture on medigogy leads into a full-length, 6-hour PDA/CEU approved course  that gets into concrete strategies and tools to deal with thyroid autoimmune disease.

Did you know that thyroid autoimmunity is commonly found in fertility patients and can dramatically interfere with conception, increase the risk of first trimester miscarriages, and result in poor fetal development? These risk factors can be significantly reduced by specifically managing thyroid hormones and strengthening the immune system. Leslie will let you in on how TCM and western medicine can be combined to deal with this problem and lead to a successful pregnancy.

If only that was the only

If only that was the only problem to the infertility. It's too bad that the numbers are so high these days, what would be the explanation? A simple IFA test could reveal other infertility causes as well. People should stay in touch with their health, it's always better to prevent then to treat, this should be a general motto for all of us. Acupuncture is a wonderful alternative to many of these problems, we should learn to search for solutions more widely.
