MEW is amazing as always! ~Sharone

This constitutionally-based treatment protocol recognizes the face is the most emotive part of the body. It uses gentle origin/insertion techniques to address muscle imbalances relating to emotional expression, as well as lines, wrinkles and sagging tendencies. Three levels of treatments —Jing, Ying and Wei — and the three Shen scalp points support the facial protocols. This information is well organized and practical, and the treatments can be tailor-made for each patient.

Please note: this is an introduction to Constitutional Facial Acupuncture™. While facial needling techniques are introduced, demonstrated by the instructor, and useful information is provided in this webinar, it is recommended that participants enroll in a live seminar with the Instructor and creator of these protocols, and invest in her book, Constitutional Facial Acupuncture), in order to learn optimum needling skills and obtain an understanding of this approach which embraces body/mind/spirit.

Mary Elizabeth Wakefield and MichelAngelo

Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, author of the new book, Constitutional Facial Acupuncture (Churchill Livingstone Elsevier, 2014) is internationally acknowledged as the leading authority on facial acupuncture. An author and teacher, she is a practitioner who has created innovative treatment protocols that emphasize a constitutional approach to this modality.

Mary Elizabeth is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, Zen Shiatsu practitioner and cranio-sacral therapist, and an opera singer. She has contributed significantly to raising awareness of facial acupuncture as a viable, holistic treatment modality.

She appears regularly at leading acupuncture symposia in North and abroad, and, in connection with her new book, will be a featured presenter in 2015 at the Canadian Oriental Medicine Symposium in Vancouver, BC, CANADA.

MichelAngelo
An opera singer, classical composer, pianist, astrologer, healer, diviner and writer, MichelAngelo was a presenter at the 2011 Conference of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energy and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM). An article on his system of Planetary Vibrational Medicine appeared in spring 2012 in the Wood issue of Oriental Medicine Journal.

He has created a 3-part certification series in which he synergizes Western medical astrology with Oriental medicine theory and practice, introducing a variety of vibrational methods of remediation (gem elixirs, tuning forks) to address constitutional balance and imbalance as it is reflected in the Western natal chart and identified through other astrological diagnostic strategies

MichelAngelo is a co-author, with sound healing pioneer Donna Carey, co-creator of the Acutonics® sound healing system, of the ground-breaking advanced level treatise, From Galaxies to Cells: Planetary Science, Harmony and Medicine, to which he contributed information on the musical components of the Acutonics® system, as well extensive information on planetary archetypes and classical music.

Course Reviews

There wasn't enough information about facial points and technique.

I really enjoyed the information and I guess it was adequate for an intro class, but I simultaneously wonder if was worthwhile considering it was frequently referenced that we have to buy the book or attend a live seminar to get adequate info.

It was much more about the 8 Extraordinary with info about facial acup only after the last break. I came away with only 4 facial treatments and a few other points good for random conditions.

I would have loved more facial techniques - without taking away any of the constitutional medicine part of the curriculum.

Enjoyed the class- really great materials and cases. Wish the instructors could have a few video demonstration on how to do SKIN facial needling esp. with the "suspended sword" wrinkle (since the 4 video demonstration are mainly on MUSCLE/Origin and Insertion facial needling techniques).
